Banqueting Table

August 23, 2012

I love how He uses us.

He doesn’t even need us … but He wants us.

He wants you.  He chose you.

He doesn’t need your help… (I have been told this a few too many times)… He wants us.

He will provide….this is true.

But isn’t it amazing how many times He uses so many of us to reach people…or a people.

It’s because He sits us at His banqueting table.

We sit together and see how it wasn’t just a one person effort…

the encouraging words of one.

the never ending prayers of another…and another… and then some more.

it was the lessons taught.

even a smile …a true one … a true smile made in passing.

the sweat wiped off the brow…

the checks written of another.

the bolstering efforts all brought together.

None really needed… but that isn’t how He works…. He works with us…He works with the willing…

He wants to work with the willing.

Then when prayer is answered…. a group gathers with smiles and “praise God’s”

He gathers us at His banqueting table and His banner over us is love.

Because He does it all to love us… to incorporate us in His always surging forward love.

He wants to let us partake of a banquet of answered prayer.

Just the right words. Says to me, you arent the chef or decorator, you don’t have to worry about a thing, just relax and savor sitting in His presence at a feast with me in mind. My favorites. A very happy thought. (randomness here- yes lil G loves fresh beat band. Newfound delight. Her favorite episode? Quack shoes. Love the modest dress and all of it. Tickets to the nearest concert sold out. Maybe one day.)

Thank you for the kind words.
Randomness… yes I know Quack Shoes very well… if I recall it is top on our DVR,lol. The concert was hilarious…. we have never gone to a kid concert before (we try and shy away from bad music, lol) however we went and the baby loved it… they raised the curtain and she just cheered and cheered as if she went to concerts regularly.
Well I am happy I have a friend like you!

T your words shot an arrow straight to my heart. Thank you. Some days it feels good to have someone say just the right words, even if it’s to a tune we wake up humming on some mornings…. Wink. Have a blessed vacay. Savor the moments. Keep your hands open for all the grace gifts he sends. It’s all grace isn’t it?!
