Welcome
I am welcome.
Welcome to come and to taste and to see
I am welcome.
Welcome to hear from…See…Read.
The price of admission has been paid.
The way has been paved.
The door open
I am welcome
We are welcome
The only thing that stops us is us.
We are welcome but we stop to adjust our fig leaves. So our nakedness does not show. But we are all bare and naked beneath our leaves.
So.
We.
Stop.
We are welcome to come and talk and revel in the wonder and hear things which would make us forget everything including our leaves.
Things which would move us…things which would empower us and make us do things we never thought possible. We are welcome to enjoy and get involved in all this…yet we stop and hold tightly to the fig leaves..keeping them straight. Keeping them on ,what we believe is, our nakedness. Drawing the eye to where our naked bareness is being kept.
We put our leaves on just so and we are not ready to say ,our idea of this foliage adornment is not needed and silly. We are all naked under our leaves and it is a fact and where we are welcome no one cares about the bareness. But we care, it’s our idea the caring about the leaves and the leaves themselves…our idea.
Our idea that hinders us going in and enjoying the warm welcome.
It is our idea ;we can’t take our leaves. If we go in, even with our leaves we are still welcome.
So go in and enjoy.
In the end you will forget about your leaves and be surprised to look down and find you are beautiful…
You.
Are.
Beautiful.
You will wonder why you ever thought the leaves were a good idea.
So go in ~ leaves and all.
The welcome is for you.

Oh the cumbersome nature of leaves! Beautiful writing–great reminder to check the leaves we hide behind at the door and find the welcome of God’s loving acceptance.
Preach it sista!
I am so happy you stopped by.
Thanks,
Tee
I did it. You told me. I found 5 minutes. Tee, always inspiring the peeps around you. You took my thoughts back to the garden with this post. I’m not gonna leave, so bring a fig (leaf) if you come for a visit.
Mad love for you Sam!
You are a great little mama…one week postpartum and rockin the 5min friday!
BRavo.

“We are welcome but we stop to adjust our fig leaves.” Love that line! It’s wonderful when we finally realize the beauty and freedom of leaving the fig leaf behind. 🙂
I am so glad you “got” that.
Thank you so much for reading my post.
Humbled,
Tee
Reading this beauty was like a leaf floating softly on the breeze to land comfortably in God’s hand!
Absolutely beautiful.
Blessings.

Thanks for coming by and commenting today. I loved your hidden and exposed, bare and beautiful analogy! The pictures of the leaves were amazing! Great food for thought.
you write fast! and i love the pictures you added in there and it is so true and frustrating that we are the only ones who keep us from going into Him. thanks for the reminder to go in just as I am.
I, too, loved the part about keeping on the fig leaf. Well said.
