Local and Organic: Cosmic Carrots
August 23, 2011
These little carrots were planted in a new raised bed which compacted terribly…so they…are very stuby. We get all of our seeds from Bakers Creek Heirloom.
Not everything is harvested. We planted a fall/winter garden this year…so the final number will have to wait till October. As of now we have harvested 150 lbs of food from our little garden…maybe more but some never makes it through the door.
Do you plant a garden? Anything interesting grow this year? What is your favorite edible to plant?

see what I mean you are such a green thumb! And N’s eyelashes are so black…she’s so cute! I love how she’s chirping up eating carrots…
Oh she had a great time “washing” the carrots…she bit off the ends of every last one of them!

Wow, 150 lbs. of food, you are amazing!
Puhlease! That’s nothing. You could easily do that. You have better growing seasons then me.
But I am smiling that you would say that!
