Grace Inspired Rows.
Each one planted purposefully years ago.
A field carefully chosen for a particular future harvest.
A small slip of wood poked into dust made dirt.
Now dust turned dirt, growing hope which one day would be harvested
Up and down the rows He walked over the years.
Leaves lime green maturing dark and lush
Vines twining upwards towards the Light.
He walked the rows over the years
Young green grapes hung from time to time…He knew just which to allow and which to clip off
Early fruit would cause shallow roots, easily uprooted in a storm
Heavy fruit on the branches would cause them to grow weak and thin.
He knew just how much fruit the young plant could handle and still grow strong.
He knew how many branches each plant could support and just when to prune.
He watched carefully that no plant stood alone and all reached out towards the next.
He walked the rows over the years.
He knew the plants and it was if they knew Him.
To look at the plants day to day you would hardly notice how strong they were becoming.
But for years they received the pruning, the rains, the droughts, the Light, the changing seasons
For years they stood in the good dust turned dirt and grew deep roots
For years they reached out strong branches towards the next
For years the just received
He smiled when He walked down the rows.
The harvest would be soon.

I LOVE what God speaks through willing voices. The message and the pictures are so moving. Thank you for stirring my heart this morning.
That you called me a willing voice is all I want.. I just want to be willing to receive everyday
I hope that comes through

I want to plant blueberry bushes. When I do, I will have to wait for the 3rd year to harvest. I love how God’s plan is mirrored in nature. Simply Beautiful post!
Blue berries are great. Ours barely make it in the house.
The kids normally eat them all.

These photographs are gorgeous! I have heard that pruning the grape vines are a tricky business. Last year we hired a man who used to work in a vineyard doing just that to prune our fruit trees. I was amazed at the meticulous work he did and the care with which he pruned. Imagine our Master Gardener and the great care He puts into our pruning. Beautiful thoughts this morning.
Good call getting a professional.
It is very tricky… you have to have a feel for how the tree/ bush/ vine will grow.
I am so glad you come by.
