How to raise Super Heros.

October 12, 2011

I have  hope for the next generation…
after all of  the “how many times do I have to tell ya”
and the “we never would have dared do that in my mom’s house”…. I have hope for the next generation.
I know I am raising kings and queens.
Super Heros.

Every generation is on the Keep Moving to a Promised Land

We walk forward with  a hope which  will push… propel them into greatness.

Willing to carry the baggage we urge them forward.

Often with a crippled wing I beg to fly ahead and remove anything that would hinder them.
I do my best so they don’t see how curled up and gnarled my weakness is.
Those crippling things which stop me… I try and hide them deep under all other baggage.
But doesn’t the bum wing make me only work harder? Harder to keep up?

I inspect these kings and queens
They are strong.
They fear very little. They look at me and I say, “go ahead”.

So up up they go… I push them forward.
These kings and queens I am gifted to raise.

*
Lord let my ceiling be their floor.
Let Your floor be their resting place.
These  soaring Superheros.

Oh how breathtakingly beautiful. To soar, to let them go, to pray, “Let my ceiling be their floor…”

awesome pics.. is that your brave daughter? Oh…not wanting to chain my kids with the things that have chained me…how this drove me to my knees…even when they take off and soar…I still have to seek…cry out…for Him to help me be the mom I need to be at each stage of their life….
    great post…
    Blessings…let’s fly:)

      Yes that is my daughter.
She is very brave for sure. I never knew they would go up that high…. when I see them in the early morning, the balloons always seem to be just a few hundred feet up….
those pictures are nuts! They said it was very peaceful but it seems very unnerving to me.
