Just Wise (Enough) Men

December 20, 2011

Those three kings have never impressed me much.

I think it’s all those Sunday School watered down stories as a kid…I always thought those “three men” took away from the story about Mary birthing in a stable….and I mean, didn’t they show up three years later?  Why give them their own song?

On Sunday night.… I heard it with new ears.  I heard the *ping*…and I confused, thought, “this song?”

Yes.. they were some of the few who could interpret their surroundings

Gather the signs…. amongst them a star which *pinged* in them purpose.

To Receive through their surroundings.

and then

to Keep Moving.

They were just Wise enough to  be Willing to Show up.

All just to Worship.

I want to be found Wise~Enough.

Listen to the song with new ears….

not listening to the words…but to the journey….

to the anthem of one seeking to Worship.

Thank you, I never stopped to consider the story quite like this, worth pondering. Loved the song track too.

      Oh good.
I love how the piano is like my great grandmothers…I can remember playing it and it had a “tinny” sound.

Thank you for giving me new ears for this old song. And the painting is beautiful. That long narrow format is perfect for it.

I love your painting. I thought several times of painting the wise men. I have to laugh at myself! I thought I was clicking on the music and watched a whole commericial on Italian coffee makers before I realized I was in the wrong plave! But then I listened to the music…”Still proceeding…”

See I am a shepherd person myself… until I heard that song I never really cared for the three wise men.
