Joy Roar

January 6, 2012

Today’s 5Minute Friday word is ROAR…
I know roaring well.

Right now I am watching God roar about Joy.
I have been talking about it here for weeks… but last night I see Him roaring to not just me about it…
Some of the great spiritual leaders of our time are the same things I have been telling you.
This word isn’t just for my house.
It is for you.
It is for your house!

Lord give me a heart for what brings Yours Joy!

Last night I was at Ann Voskamps blog and there she is handing you free cameras just to coax you to join the Joy. I mean if that doesn’t get your attention…well… she has some jewelry and bookmarks…
She is handing out free printables laced with giveaways.. and practically taking you by the hand to help you see it…
Then if you follow dutifully in your search for Joy she will hand out a camera.

And if you take the Joy Dare and count your own 1000 gifts in 2012
Might we enter your name at the end of 2012, when all the gifts are counted and much praise given to our God — enter you for a draw of the same model of camera that’s sitting here on our counter?– Ann Voskamp January 2012

I mean not only is God roaring about us finding the Joy… He is offering free cameras and jewelry.

I honestly don’t care what gets your attention… It can be me telling you …It can be Ann Voskamp telling you… or you could do it for the free camera at the end of the day… either way.. make no mistake….
This message is for you….it’s for all of us.

Lord give me a heart for what brings Yours Joy!

Where two are three are gathered right?!

How loud must He roar?!

I am counting the gifts with intentionality this year, linking arms with followers to make it official. I wrote about that in my post today as well. We were on the same page with that one word prompt -Roar!! Blessings to you.

LOVE. Now that’s a roar we should take and accept and keep and shout and share and take pictures of and crochet and create and paint, and sip hot chocolate and and and and and like you word….I’d also like that camera…

God has put on my heart that for me this is the year of seeing the Little Blessings He leaves me throughout my day – every time I look for them – joy sprouts in my day – and, yes, I guess puts a bit of roar in it, too!

BTW – I miss my boys dancing like that:)
