Trusting a Plan… or how to make needle felted coasters, a tutorial
Somedays don’t make any sense… we look at the projects and people put together and wonder if we have been forgotten.
We can’t make any sense of it.
How can these things in life amount to anything which will bring joy?
How can any day really?
Instructions given to be carried out seem pointless when we look at our age and abilities.
So blocking out the interruptions…
We concentrate and when we look away from what we have been given…
well sometimes we can get ourselves hurt …
and now aware of the consequences
We refocus…

With minds focused on our task we see what You had in mind….it begins to take shape.
It isn’t what we would have created with these pieces of fluff and stuff. We would have walked away.
Following through we see it spiral into beauty.
A plan.
Sometimes we are given ugly pieces…
But it’s how we look at it…. burden or blessing?
Can we call it trash… or a sluice box for gold panning treasure?
Then a day of bits of stuff which seems unable to be connected… starts to come together.
Trash turned into something to discern treasure.
with a sunny bit of felted fluff on a cold day.

Because that is what some days are… just bits of ourselves needle felted together to make something more beautiful.
Something made more beautiful when we trust in a Plan bigger then ourselves.
Times bringing Joy when we appreciate the company of those handpicked out of the whole world to spend time with us.
A Seed Inspired 
I am starting to get it, not quite yet fully, but starting too…the shimmer of real gold is flickering as I embrace the ones He has handpicked for this season of my life and the slower days he is gifting me with, thank you for listening to His voice and sharing your journey with us.
Slower days?…girl you are one of the speediest ladies I know…and with such finesse too!

So good to read your words today. Beautiful needle felting. I remember my littles not getting along and telling them that God puts people in our lives to learn to get along with them because later in life you will have others with the same types of tendancies and personalities and you will need to know – “call it training for your fututre”. He does have a sense of humor doesnt he?! Hugs and blessings to you and yours.

I have wanted to learn to needle felt for a long time now — my daughter bought me a little kit for Christmas – the needles are so very sharp! And I’ve been waiting for just the day to try because I have no idea what I’m doing — but you’ve inspired me… I’ll just take it slow and work with what I have and find joy in it! Blessings, Aly

What would you like to know about needle felting… I have done it for years…even had an etsy shop back when we were going through the adoption process…and I did very well. Once you get some type of form it is a lot like clay… If you need any help please let me know.

Funny that. There has been chess and needle felting happening at our house this week too. Needlefelting is indeed a wonderful medium for children.
Handcrafts and chess are good to focus the mind on cold days.

do you actually have a tutorial on needle felting… they are BEAUTIFUL coasters

of needle felting is so simple.. it hardly warrants a tutorial…
big ball of fluff… needle felting needles (a must have..regular needles won’t do) and you just keep stabbing the wool …say into a ball…or in this case a round flat plate like shape.
from there it’s all about layering and shaping (like clay only with a needle)…
IT is VERY relaxing…until it isn’t, lol (i.e..stabbing yourself)
I actually years ago, sold tons of my felted creations….it gets addicting… but now I had herd of kids so I just teach them how,lol.

You have been the little ‘ignite’ today to get me back into my wool stash. I love fibers, but
life has been such that I haven’t been doing any of the things that I usually do, like, spinning, knitting/crocheting, quilting. I have wanted to do felting for years and haven’t, your little coasters look so pretty and easy. And, I think my granddaughter would love to do this too. Thanks for the inspiration. Sherry
