The Vows…
He stood on a hill and he proclaimed his vows to his beloved.
Right there before God and everyone else…He stood there with the most love ever shown in public…. speaking directly to his greatest love.
The emotion was raw and some blushed at the fierceness of his devotion…
his vows seemed to surpass space and time…
reaching into eternity.
“I love you and I don’t want to play any games… I want you to know what I expect…and what you can count on me for…
I will love you when you curl up and feel small… I will give you all of heaven…everything that is mine…. you will forever have a royal heritage.
and when you are sad I will wrap my arms around you.. I will love you and make sure I always comfort you.
I will love you when you feel small and unworthy or unsure… don’t worry I will have faith in you and I ,together… and I will give you everything I have and you will know :I love you.
When you want more and feel depleted I will hear you and fill you..we will sit and eat together and just feast.
Everytime I see you stop and take the time to care for others it makes me want to have even more compassion on you… my heart is softened towards you. I care for you so much!
I love when you want only me…want me. desire me…it makes me never want to leave you.
When you want to calm the storms, and resolve senseless conflicts it makes me feel so unified… like you “get me” . I just love you even more because we feel like the family I have always wanted.
And don’t worry when others turn their backs on you for our love and what you have learned in our love… because they don’t understand the goal and what we are trying to accomplish.
I know that many don’t understand what we are trying to do here on this piece of earth we have… know that I see when they give you a hard time… I love you above it all, because you know where we are going and you work with me… you love me… you will be rewarded for all we do…and your devotion in our love is never overlooked….never overlooked…I love you so much.
Do you get it?
No matter what…in all these things...
I will still love you…
in your weakness,
lean into me I will still be strong…
I love you forever.”
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
deep so deep and true that i am sure most will never feel this.. why do you know this?… why can you write these words?… please tell ALL how you ARRIVED…….
I am guessing you mean ..”how did I arrive at this”…
the Beatitudes always seemed curious… but I had trouble “hearing” the meaning… I really sought God on it and He unraveled this… and I can only say He wanted me to know these things… but I feel very strongly He wants many others to see Him standing there wanting to be frank about His expectations… how He will take care of our shortcomings.
I have so much to say…lol.. but I will keep this short.. if you have a specific question I would love to discuss it!
Thank you so much for your kind words..
🙂

T, such bold truth here, and beautifully written! Visiting from Gypsy Mama’s place today and really enjoyed reading!
Thank you so much.. I hope it translates well to others.
T
Howdya get that ring to do that?
Beautiful! This made tears come to my eyes ….
awww…me too!
T
beautiful watercolors! did you do them yourself? visiting from the link up at the gypsy mama.
my recent post: how to climb out of the emotional pit
yes I sure did.. thank you for your compliment
T
whoa worlds collide…T this is one of our very good friends from Redding Ca. Charis and her husband run a house of prayer in Redding… Charis…this is my sister cray-zeeeeeee
Thank you so much for this today!! Sometimes I think we really need to be reminded how very much God cherishes us. Sometimes we are so hard on ourselves I think we forget… and when life is tough and times are hard and we are struggling… God sends someone to remind us of exactly what he sees while we fight through the mess feeling alone.
“And don’t worry when others turn their backs on you for our love and what you have learned in our love… because they don’t understand the goal and what we are trying to accomplish.”
sweeeeeeeeeeet
lol..thanks.

T you visited today and asked about removing watercolor. Dampen the spot or take a damp brush that has stiff bristles, my mom has a scrubber for this or she said its called a deers foot brush. Gently scrub the area with the damp brush and have a clean napkin or paper towel to dab the color and use your brush that you just cleaned to repeat the process. slow and steady. Some colors stain, There is a product that you can paint over your problem area too. Ive been meaning to buy some to match the white color of the paper I use but havent been painting much. 😦
(sigh)…that is what I thought.. I was hopeing there was some artist technique that would magically make it disappear.
Thanks.. I will look into that remover!

thats why my watercolor teacher would tell me it took over 100 paintings to create a masterpiece. Just keep creating and know that watercolor can be fickle. Im wondering if you have some acrylic paint, if that would work? Or turn it into a “happy accident” ??? Or she taught us to crop our work, turn the part we liked into its own painting by cutting it out. Just a few ideas for this, or next time. I LOVE THIS…… Ive been working on a stained glass window but after seeing yours I think I got WAY too detailed. (mine is black framing too.)
Such a wonderful message and a beautiful watercolor to go with it.
Thank you so much for sharing this today!!!
Thank you on both counts… it means a lot.
T
Wow. THAT’s a vow.
lol..yes it sure is.
T
This read like the best novel in the world…but it is even better because it is REAL and available for each of us! I love the stained glass watercolor – so soft! And I too am wondering how you got that ring in there…maybe the magic of photoshop?!
Cindy you are so dear for saying that….
Oh the ring..yes I forgot to mention that… it only took two takes…no photoshop (I had no experience with it)…and the second one was so perfect I thought not to push my luck…lol
I just held the ring up…and let go…it thought it would be easy but the ring is rounded and wouldn’t stand on it’s own.
T
Beautiful. Simply beautiful. Love the watercolor windows. Love the photo with the ring… how did you do that?! I am glad to see that Anna answered your question… surprised to see that it was the idea I had. I had no idea really… just guessing! Hope it works for you! 🙂
YEs what a wonderful community of artists you have collected. Thank you for that.
…like I told Cindy..I don’t know how to photoshop..it was the 2nd shot that took.. the ring is my husband’s “skinny man” ring (two years ago he lost 85lbs and his ring was falling off…in lieu of cutting the old ring , which he hated the idea of: cutting the ring we took our vows with… I bought him a skinnier ring…
anyway…it wouldn’t stand up so I held it…let go..took the shot.
🙂
T
Dramatic. But then God’s love for us is bold and true, like in the best love stories! Thanks for sharing!
Absolutly…I love it!
Thanks for commenting.
T
What a fantastic way to illustrate the gospel! Love your post.
IT was fantastic to get the revelation of it all.. I hope it translates well for everyone.
To understand the beatitudes in this way was just awe inspiring.
T
Stunning.
really?
Thank you so much.
T
Awesome!! Thanks for linking up. 🙂
Love this so much T! It definitely speaks to my heart during a really tough time here in UG…THANK YOU for reminding me a His vows! ❤
We were talking about that…(and praying too)… email me and give me the skinny on what to pray more specifically about.
In my bones it feels like this is the natural progression for you… but I would love to know more .. and be able to tell the kids to pray.
🙂
T
I love how this post is just cloaked with God’s love. I love how you have taken scripture and unravelled it. Beauty is found in your words and in your watercolor. You have much talent. And how did you get that ring to do that?
oh, I just love your words…as usual – – and now I love your paintings, too. 🙂
Beautiful
God bless
Tracy
That kind of love, devotion and passion is the stuff that could cause a revolution!! Love it!
Wonderful work and someone up there helped with the magic shot 😉
Oh Girl you are right about that.
woo hoo.
The whole thing was all Him… I mean it …I loved working alongside…but once it was all done I couldn’t figure out how it all came together.
🙂
T
Beautiful.
