Running Uphill
I love the Lent season…
I
Love
It.
I love the running towards the promise… I know He suffered…
I know I can never fully grasp it…
but what I can grasp is the old dying away like an old dead relationship, I get that…I have seen it…
and like some crazy breaking of all the rules… we run uphill towards a Bridegroom…
instead of growing tired as we run,
instead of growing weary and weak…
the faster we run,
our footsteps falling in time with the Heartbeat which beats for us since the begining of time…
we run to the beat and we gain strength …
we gain it all.
Each day…. each time the sun seeps beneath the trees across the field…we are one day closer to a day which marks the anniversary of when
Truth looked in the eyes of every lie and captured. us. back .
When Truth with the most valiant gesture ever composed, stepped in between us and every hissing lie… He stood there and told us in bold tones
“You are loved… I give it all just so you know …You will never be abandoned… You are mine.”
He Vowed to us…no matter how weak we are…it didn’t matter He would be our Beloved…
He Loves you.

I have been crocheting some pillows to go in the living room… it helps for me to listen to things as I go…
and this…
this…
will rock your world…
I mean…can you just soak in this and run straight up a hill to Him…
Beautiful. Love the knitting pictures, I crochet.
i think those will be really pretty pillows and I love that song.
Lent is absolutely my favorite season! That’s probably weird, right? But it’s such a great time to focus.
Love your collection of Easter books! I want to add to ours this year as well!
Yes, I would love to hear recommended reads for Easter.

Couldn’t resist the title, and you explained running uphill beautifully. This was a great read. Thanks.
This was so moving. Thank you. I am running a teen retreat called Emmaus this weekend and would love to read this at some point on the weekend. Would that be ok?
Absolutely…thank you for blessing me with your request.
Iknow you didn’t have to ask me… And I am more then happy to help.
Thank you for blessing me.
Let me know how it goes.
🙂
Humbly,
T
I know you didn’t say I could use it yet, but I shared it with the person in charge of the liturgies tonight. She really liked it too. She already took it, waiting for you to let us read it. Thank you so much! I tear everytime I read it.
You can absolutely use it…
Please do…
I am so blessed by your request.
Just let me know how it goes.
Thank you.
🙂

We had such a great retreat this weekend and your poem only added to it. My friend read it a lenten service that was focused on how pretzels were used to represent lent. Several people approach my friend and I about it and asked where we got it from and told them about the blog. They were really touched by it, one to the point of tears. Again thank you so much for sharing and for allowing me to share it at the retreat.

wow that floors me.
I am just so touched that it could speak to people outside of the internet.
Thank you so much for taking your time and returning here to encourage me.
That means so much…I feel like I just won an award or something. 🙂
