I made all of this for the kids…so they could see the change.
From when He spoke His love for all mankind…told them they were His greatest love.
To when He carried a cross and death meant for us.
To when we roll him up in His burial wraps and we roll the stone and we set the guard in front of the tomb.
To when the kids wake up and find …”He has risen and isn’t in the tomb anymore”.
I made it all for them…so they would have a place to stop and stand…to think of how much they are loved.
But more and more I find myself standing in front of our nature table…I stand there and picture myself walking the crowd….watching it for real.
And I don’t know how anyone can doubt, we are His greatest love.
How can anyone insult Him by not walking like the royalty that He made us.
We are the ransomed one…we are the ones which were bought and paid for…a high price…because He thought us worth it.
Not unworthy wretchs…. but His greatest love…something He would pay any ransom for.

T, I like the table. I am a wood carver, so the wooden figures caught my attention first. I also hold the Hope you have. My wife and I have raised three children, now grown, who claim and live the faith we hold in Christ. In this Lenten season I bid you Shalom. “johnklompmaker.wordpress.com
Thank you …. I enjoy my woodwork, albeit I rarely get to spend much time on the finishing end of it as I normally get interrupted or they busy themselves with the characters before they have been properly sanded so thank your kind words.

T, while my wood carving are usually not for handling, I can understand how little ones would want to play with yours. Some day, when they are grown, they will allow you to finish more and even appreciate the finished product. My children look forward to carvings for birthdays and Chrsitmas(I think 🙂

love this. Reminds me of one of my favorite Nativity sets. Just blocks of wood with the characters woodburned into them and some acrylic paints. mmmmmm…….. You have a great eye and the textures are very pleasing to the eye and Im sure little hands.
I have made the kids a nativity set… but I made it when I was pregnant with the last one…and the saw was vibrating so bad (really bad work surface at the time) and my whole body hurt and I was literally praying, lol, “Oh dear Jesus don’t let me cut my finger off while I cut out baby Jesus”…I was sure I was going to loose a thumb.
but no.
