An Opportunity to be Filled.

March 9, 2012

Empty.

A Space.

A Lack.

An opportunity to be filled.

The start of a beautiful story.

Not so much the ending of being poured out… but the start of being filled up.

No one on earth knows the empty vases in a woman’s life like another woman.

We know how in each other’s homes, she has a stash of empty vases.  Given to her by the love of her life, even if he couldn’t understand why the flowers in  it would make her happy.

But another woman can fill those vases with flowers.  It will mean, almost more…because we know what it feels like

to walk around a corner and see a sunny filled vase.

to roll over in the morning and see some bowing tulips on the night stand.

to sip your first sip of tea and open your eyes to Spring manifested in your kitchen.

We, as women, know what it feels like to have vases filled with what will remind you … your friend loves you, she thought of you… she wanted you to see her love in your home.

As women…we can go through our days and fill each other’s empty vases…. or we can choose to ignore it….leave it up to someone else.

We can ignore the Divine itinerary we have been given.

Each of us has those empty vases…we move them around, but they don’t go away, all the while we keep pouring ourselves out.

Such a simple thing… we know those stashes of empty … such a simple thing to fill.

You can  bring a freshness … a bloom of promise into someone else’s life today.

~

Today’s word is empty.

The vase is beautiful and the flowers add to it. They are gorgeous! It usually only takes something simple to let others know they are thought of and cared for. Our steps of obedience can be such a blessing to others..and us.
    Have a great weekend!

I love tulips. I love how they bend and remind us to do the same.

Imagine if we all did something similar this weekend.
I would give you all some flowers if I could.

I needed this reminder today. Maybe it was the pictures, maybe the words. . . . all I know is, there is a person in my life who has an empty space, and I will fill it with flowers. Thank you so very much!!!!

Ahhh, made me think of my high cupboard of empty vases. I love to pull those things out and split a bunch of grocery store flowers putting a little of this and a little of that into every vase.
