No Coincidence….

We saw each other at Target… nothing by coincidence.

Sam played the piano at PFW on Saturday night… she asked me, “who was that one woman who got up and prayed..I couldn’t hear her but I felt His Presence when she prayed”

my phone rang with an unknown number as I listened to her ….”ummm”…I clicked the phone to silent not knowing who it was…”the lady who prayed first? or did she read the Bible? Oh that woman who got up first was Karen…she has a heart of a saint.  Will you be coming to PFW this week?”

We chat more about how it is amazing to be part of something like this…to watch Him unfold his Faithfulness…we laugh excitedly how they kicked the doors open at this little church.  The Presence of God is food to Sam and I  and we search for it everywhere.  Pushing our red carts out I wave bye to her little baby….he proudly waves his little hand…his new trick.

In the parking lot I listen to my voicemail…”Hey T…something amazing has happened from Saturday night…could you please call me back.  Hope you don’t mind I tracked your cell number through your grandmother…but I have to tell you what happened….by the way, this is Karen”.

I throw my bulls eyed bags into the car and run across the parking lot to Sam’s car…

“hey of course you will believe this….remember when we  were talking about Karen…she was calling me at. the. same. time…she said something amazing has happened from Saturday night, aside from what happened Sunday morning…I will let you know”  We shake our heads and laugh…and her little son smiles at the opportunity to again show me he can wave his little worship filled hand.

I call her back and she goes on to tell me a long list of things that have happened… She reminds me of my prayer. I had asked, “Lord overwhelm us….We know you are here ….forgive us our shortcomings and overwhelms us…overwhelm those who aren’t here…let us take it to them….Saturate us so that we can pour it out on others…fill this place…”

One of the things she tells me is  how her family member, who isn’t interested in finding Him….came home from work and told her stories “of being overwhelmed by the goodness in others doing things for others”.  So she wrote her  relative a note to give them at an appropriate time…about what happened and what was prayed Saturday night.  They couldn’t wait…they came to her.  They wanted to read it now… and it moved them…it overwhelmed them….like they have never been overwhelmed before…like Karen had never seen before.

I stopped her…”Hey Karen, how long have you been going to Caring?  Longer then me, right?”

she stops and thinks, “Oh yes…over seven years at least.  But nothing like this has ever happened…We have really good services… but nothing like you saw Sunday.  I wish you would do PFW all day.  I know it is a great sacrifice for your family with you having seven kids… but are you going to stop at Lent?  What can we do to keep this going?”

“I will do what ever He wants… I don’t want to get in His way…but I will need more of Him to do it”  She went on to give me a few more testimonies and my heart about burst.  By then I was home and there was an unfamiliar car in my driveway…but the unfamiliar is now becoming more familiar as I know nothing is a coincidence.

Turns out it  is the  owner of a local restaurant…I  just happened to be in the area….what is this thing that goes on Saturday nights….what is this other place?

There are no coincidences…

…not when you understand that you have a Divine Itinerary

…not when you accept that you are Royalty and where you go He has already been

…not when you expect to see Him everywhere you go….when you know you walk in the spiritual.
