Dance of Love.
It felt crazy… but I heard Him correctly, he had been speaking two words to me and I would laugh and say, “but who am I?”
Those same two words He said to me again Sunday morning
With one hand firmly gripping the chair in front of me, I shyly grabbed his hand…
~the hand that no one can put asunder.
~the familiar hand I have held for well over a decade.
~the hand I seek in the darkness to hold as I drift off to sleep.
…in a shoulder to shoulder foreign shyness I wove our fingers together, letting it sink in….getting ready for my next move
We have done this before
but never here…with so many people watching!
I mean we have done it in the kitchen…but here?…
but I know He was asking me to obey
…getting closer to those two words.
I silently tossed upwards a prayer, “Make him dance with meeee. This ‘slow dance’…what are You saying? Make him dance with meeee“
“I have told you about the ‘slow dance’ ~ don’t hesitate. They are playing the last song…soon it will be lost. Find out what I am talking about…find out what it is”
So I gave my tall husband an I-don’t-know-smile as I turned towards him and layed my left arm on his shoulder and lifted our woven hands up a smidge.
My left hand curled around his high up shoulders…The tips of my fingers found the ridge of his strong spine.
He smiled at me the way husbands do when they think their wives are a wonderful kind of crazy…
we swayed and then he twirled me right there between the rows of church chairs and as I came back to him and my hand slipped across his Superman shoulders I got it….
This kind of love is the greatest spiritual warfare.
This covenant binding heaven and earth is a glimpse of His Kingdom come ,His Will being done on earth as it is in heaven.
The bride her Groom
The acceptance of a Gift of love sent from heaven just for you.
Proudly displaying what He has given you.
This slow dance
This love abandon
This declaration
The love…the covenant… what it represents… it is worship…it is warfare.
Happy Birthday Honey!
Looking back over these posts… and I am getting what HE was saying…It all makes so much more sense now:
