Passover to Easter.
Exodus 12:17
New International Version (NIV)
17 “Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread, because it was on this very day that I brought your divisions out of Egypt. Celebrate this day as a lasting ordinance for the generations to come.
Isaiah 6:3
New International Version (NIV)
3 And they were calling to one another:
“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”
Matthew 28:2-7
New International Version (NIV)
2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
Matthew 28:8-10
New International Version (NIV)
8 So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9 Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”
Proverbs 25:2
New International Version (NIV)
2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter;
to search out a matter is the glory of kings.
What a whirlwind weekend. Our Passover~Good Friday and PFW was great. Can I just say…Passover should not be over thought….just do it. Don’t worry about all the laws and rules…just do it. I know the internet and blog world will lead you to think you need special dishes and recipes and whatnot… you are not bound by law. If you aren’t having Passover because it seems complex… you are missing out. IT is by far one of the best holidays in the whole world… yeah I said it, lol..the whole world! So after “in haste with shoes on” we finished our meal and in long caravan of cars we all made an Exodus to our PFW. Everyone wanted it to go longer… but we had to bring the kids and nine o’clock was starting to undo them…particularly the babies. I had a stash of organic lollipops which helped the toddlers get over the 8:30 hump… but then they just got wild. Noa was standing in front of the stage with her “hop-pop” and periodically would raise her “hop-pop” into the air and “WOOOOOOO!”…Not sure if that is part of the Throne Room Experience we should expect.
Sidenote…one couple did a rendition of Nothing But the Blood... and it was beautiful. I would love to upload it here… but I am sure they would hunt me down. But it was one of the most beautiful live versions I have ever heard. Just so happens my husband recorded it… it was awesome. I wish you could have been there to hear it.
Sunday morning the boys were the first to discover Jesus was not in the tomb…and it was empty! They found Him standing in the light of the window… and ran and told everyone! Then it was a mad dash into Easter dresses and cleaning dirty boy shoes. Zim was especially proud of his “fancy business man jacket“.
After church it was over to my parent’s farm, which my brother is currently managing for them…and he is trying his hand at pigs. His wonderful fiance will be a wife by the time the pigs are to be harvested…and I wonder how she is going to handle ….umm…them being “harvested”. But they are cute for now….perhaps by then they will be old hat. The pigs were not very interested in all the action of our Easter egg hunt. Remarkably the kids weren’t very interested in the pigs either and were hot on the hunt of candy…which they get very little of in our house. I just look away where holidays and candy are concerned … but I always warn them, “Eat it all today…because if I find it…it will disappear”…the baby heard me loud and clear. She squirreled herself away as she insulated herself with candy wrappers…. all empty.
I wonder if you could paint the husband and wife’s song with primary colors that would blend and turn into secondary colors?????? Maybe somehow write out the words really pretty where they would fall in the color coded song?????
Once again, a beautiful post.
Oh I did that with one of their last songs:
she accents his singing so perfectly…. makes a person jealous for sure! lol
T
Aaah, so it was their singing you did this to awhile back ago. okay. Now I see why
T,
