Oh I wish you could be here…what a lovely day!  The house is all warm and steamy of drying laundry and hot banana muffins line my counters.

The barn once again is filled with bales of hay…a huge “Thank God” on that!  Of course I will not fully relax about hay until this back field is once again baled…then I will sit back a little.

I am so excited about this year’s garden…and now the excitement has been kicked up a notch. After I made a few pots of herbs and a few others of just  flowers.  It’s a regional  thing , to be sure, but if it’s spring you better “have your pots done”….translated to mean “Around your doors ,and added to every year, you better have brimming flower pots of beauty”.  I think your dead great great great grandmothers come back and haunt you if it isn’t done properly.  And although I would love to chat with any of them…I don’t want it to be  because I have dropped the ball with “getting my pots done”.  Then the baby and I (can I still call her that?…she is two , but she is the baby of seven) went out to the garden to reseed the spinach and pick some radishes.  As I weeded a small bed this morning I heard it…

Bzzzzzzzzz……BzzzzzBzzz…..Bzzzzzzzz

and there she was…just going about her work…one of our little bees!  I tell ya what… I was so excited!  To see them just going about their way… making their selves a home.  I love it. Drink it up little community.  I love nothing more then to have all this Buzzing about!

Then if all that isn’t enough… We have a PFW tonight!  Come on out!  We will have a great time.  Every week is so different…I don’t think we will ever see it all!

Love the pics! I’m excited about our gardens this year too. And we’re adding chickens and ducks into the mix for the first time so it should be a learning experience! God bless you!

I got my pots done too, brimming with flowers. It must be a great feeling to see one of your honey bees hard at work foraging in your yard. Mine are newbies and they’re mostly foraging elsewhere so far… I love the photos and yeah, two is still a baby in my book. She is adorable. I hope that your weekend is relaxing. I wish I grew and put up hay.

      oh that is so cool.
you must live near me…because of all the places I have lived no one takes it as seriously as they do around here.
      🙂

Love these pictures. So neat already being able to pick radishes and having a pretty little helper!
