Marriage Risk and Wedding Birds
The risk in marriage is only risk if you believe that although He provided for you at the cross; He will never meet you again.
There is a huge risk if you believe He will not meet you in each moment.
The risk gets greater if you forget His love for you…and that He loves your spouse more than you ever will.
The risk all but fades away every time you remember that in each moment He is your Redeemer.
That in each moment He wants to meet you…teach you…grow you… Because you are His beloved….
and He also loves you more than your spouse ever will.
This is the final Wedding Birds installment. I had wanted to do something special for my brother and his wife to be (tomorrow is the big day!!)… so after trying about 5 different times with other ideas…even incorporating another artist to help me, and none of those ideas panning out….these two little birds flew on the page. The one day I was watching a papa cardinal bringing strings to his mate and building a nest in the blue spruce tree…and I just loved how they were tying their little knot of a nest. So armed with waterproof mascara I am off, for the day, to their rehearsal.

thanks for the reminder that we have to anticipate and know that the Lord is going to meet us at every moment.
love the birds!
This is a beautiful creation for a wedding present ~ lovely design, color and composition ~thanks, ^_^ (A Creative Harbor)
Aw that’s really romantic!
O how I love it! Adorable! The weeding theme and the veil and the ring -just lovely! I’ve been reading here at your blog for a little while now, but I’m not sure (can’t remember) if I’ve left you a little note in the comment box before now.
Anyhoo … Your artwork is just beautiful and a unique talent, all adorable. I’m blessed when I read what you write; your Love for the Lord is contagious.
I have to admit that I was one of ‘those’ you speak of in this post. I once believed that Jesus only met me at the time of my salvation and that I would catch up later with Him in heaven one day. O the risk of that ‘belief’ of my Lord was dangerous! I’m so thankful that the saved are continually being drawn closer to Him, finally after so many rock bottoms something in me knew “Yes I have a Savior, but I need Him now -not just when I get to heaven.” So I sought to ‘know’ my Savior and realized just how much more He loved me than I ever imagined and now I can’t imagine living without being in relationship with my Lord. Our Lord is for us in the now, moment by moment –let be for Him the same.
Beautiful post, Thanks!

(Hope to see you visit sometime :O)
…. I feel I may have rambled a bit here, sorry ’bout that :O)
Well welcome friend… it’s all a marriage isn’t it.
We don’t marry our spouse and that is the start and end of our love…
no we find each other again and again throughout a lifetime…. getting closer to each other and rediscovering what our love really means.
much like Him.
Thanks for rambling…I love a thought filled comment.

T – this is beautiful. You should make prints and sell them.
Well let’s face it susan…if it weren’t for you I never would know the right side of a paint brush.
Thank you for taking me to those water painting lessons when I was little….something about it was peace in the midst of my little chaotic life (at that time)….and that therapy was and is still priceless in my life.
Thank you for giving me that tool to carry through…
goes to show you just never know with kids… I mean I have often thought back to you taking J and I to those lessons, of watching you paint in the living room, of finding your painted scenes and hanging them in my first apartment….you have no idea how influential all that was to me.
Thank you!
See you tomorrow!

Beautiful truth here, T! I want to hold it in my heart through my day — and beyond. And the sweetness of that lovely pair of birds!
I wrote of the worth of “risking” all for Him. But even “hard obedience” is no risk at all in the eternal sense, and only in the earthly sense when I don’t recognize that He’s with me all the way!
What a special wedding gift. What a great perspective.
Aw, have a nice time at the wedding! I love what you did with the “tying the knot” idea! Great job!!!
I am coming over from StudioJRU….
what a beautiful wedding gift! so special.
and thank you for reminding me that He meets us everyday.
that we are His beloved.
i needed to hear that today…
Oh T…this is just perfect…amazing my friend…have a wonderful weekend of joyful celebration…and oh yes…waterproof mascara for sure:)
🙂
I am already wearing it! We hosted the couple and all the musicians this morning…so that mascara did double duty with how we were laughing ourselves to tears.
all of the musicians practicing on the deck…amazing.
The singer was practicing also…a beautiful morning and “Glorious” by KAtie and Bryan Torwalt being sung loud on our deck… it was just breathtaking
🙂
Now it’s off to the venue!…

This is so TRUE; and I thank God he let me figure out that when I made Jesus my husband, and found my significance with Him…that was the best wedding gift when I said “I Do” to my husband on earth. Beautiful ART – love those sweet birds!

Mazel Tov to them!! I love seeing your birds. I recently told a teenaged friend of mine that God was the get-out-of-fights-free card: instead of arguing endlessly we can talk it over and take our difficulties to God, confident that He loves us and has a way forward. It’s such a better system than fighting.
oh, this is beautiful! with beautiful thoughts also, happy PPF and thank you for sharing,
hugs, peggy aplSEEDS
