Little Brave Man.

July 18, 2012

Oh I dare say I doubted them.  The vision these girls had for this baby shower was far beyond my reach.  I was so curious to see it all unfold.  The ferns and hunting theme.  Making little iron on onesies and artistic arrows. As of Sunday Dinner  Nat was sure her electrical problems would all work them selves out by Tuesday.    She had moved to the area three weeks ago and her rental was flickering and her iceream was soft…the land lord had said he would see what he could do.  But by Tuesday morning there was a bit of frantic rushing about as the electric was not cooperating and

“Could we hold it at your house? Is it too much to ask?”

What a beautiful night.

What beautiful women.

What delicious food.  The guest of honor, Kat, loves my chicken curry salad…so we had it on fluffy croissants.

With that combination and the most delicious blueberry milkshakes you have ever tasted we went out on the deck to enjoy the evening and to open all of the tiny boy baby things.

I was even inspired to get in the woodshop and carve the sweetest little bow and arrow for the baby boy to be born.  I didn’t have the sense enough to get a picture of the finished piece… but I have to admit it turned out just like I had imagined it to look…so that is always good.  It was a wonderful party and I would go on and on..but I am swamped!  What started out as three guests has bloomed into 5 so we are busy emptying out the linen closet .  One arrives tonight … I will let you know about all the excitement!

So nice to see a creative baby shower instead of the traditional one. A new baby is always so exciting and inspires the best in all of us!

Beautiful! I get to go to a gender reveal on my birthday this Friday. I’ve been so excited about this little one. My neatest of friends will have her first grand baby.
