A walk about the farm and He is Here.

The outside was distracting me. It would shift my focus from enjoying my new space. I still had a few loose ends to tie up from the old season. So with pruning snips and a burst of energy…I went to work. I ripped out the unsightly old plants which went down with the first frost. It really took a lot less energy then I originally thought. My oldest son ordered a flock of new chickens so they needed to be processed… and before you think there was a chicken massacre…let me stop you. We were just clipping the feathers on one side so they can’t escape the pasture. It works with most hens…clearly not all of them…ie. the Side Hens. My hands smelling strongly of the very green tang of tomato stems I went inside.
All that had taken my focus all put in it’s place and made right… now just to wash my hands. “He is Here” playing through the house, I dried my hands on a tea towel. That is when I found him.
My most energetic child…still.
Just seven years old.
Barely moving…every so often a finger would twitch.
He didn’t even flinch when I walked in the room.
The corners of his eyes would crinkle a bit.
His palm would bloom slowly open.
The slightest quiver to his chin.

When he opened his eyes and noticed me there.. he smiled peacefully and told me , “I just had to go into that song…see what they were talking about…and Jesus, He stood in front of the church and God was there too… I just had to go in and see what the song was saying.”
He was listening to the new Gungor album titled A Creation Liturgy. Specifically he was listening to “We will run/ He is Here”, track 12 on this link.

Gives me goosebumps. Still cry each time I hear Gungor since beautiful things. Little one and I sign it together and it tears.me, up. I might need a copy of this CD.

I started out a bit bummed that there enough new on this album…. but listening to it makes it all new, because it is live.
