Like a very full dream…

It is rare that I am as socially busy as I have been… but in a delightful turn of events I have been buzzing about. Over the weekend we had our anniversary and we went to see Jerry Seinfeld live. He is an icon and seeing him was a treat….a dream come true ,if you will. Truth be told I enjoyed Tom Papa (the opener) even more….but Seinfeld is a legend.

Sunday morning I woke up in a touch of a funk…kids couldn’t find shoes and we had run out of milk… ya know stuff that can conveniently happen on a busy Sunday morning?  I was even more discouraged knowing most everyone who comes to Sunday Dinner would be elsewhere and it would be a slow day…if anyone came at all. I prayed a quick prayer on the fly…”Lord please just bring awesome and fun people here today… I just need to have a good time with friends.” With that I found the shoe, fed the kids and walked out into a chilly morning. We got home to a a quiet house… but as the time rolled up for Sunday Dinner…the sun poured through my door as it stayed open….(forgive the pictures I was having too much fun)

One after another after another of the most fabulous people showed up…. some people I haven’t seen since the summer!  I literally clapped my hands and cheered as each one came through the door…only to be quickly followed with a hug by all of these wonderful people. My house a buzz… food being passed around…smiling everywhere…and I could barely help but burst with joy. Oh and even a hot air ballon landed in the baaaaaack field…and if you know me, you will know that I have begged for this to happen as they sail over my house every week for the past 8 years…so it was like a dream come true and we all ran laughing our heads off to see it packed up. I wish you had been there. The table was beyond full…all with the most awesome and fun people He could find for Sunday Dinner….it was like a dream come true. It was humbling to know that when God gets a prayer about “awesome and fun people”…He has a list of qualified folks and that I would be allowed to serve them…to serve His Bride…it’s like a dream come true.

Last night I was out at an adorable baby shower…..

Most of the women who were there were very young and with Y.W.A.M. Which means I sat in the middle of a room charged with energy. An energy to take and to build community into the world…all for Him. But for this night they breathed in and gathered around….directing energy towards an unborn boy. They prayed for supernatural blessings poured out and stacked around this new mother. This mother with a heart for …Oman? She knew her husband when she met him because they shared a heart for the same obscure country. When her baby is born the clock starts again…a countdown to leave. She drank up the community… she sat in the middle being ready to be sent on many adventures. You could see the prayers twine around her like beautiful ribbons…coccooning her. Then as I left she asked me…”would I come to her birth if she called?”… it was like a dream come true.
