Practice makes permanent … not perfect. So with all our imperfections we bring it together in tins and bags.
small dosages of our time mixed with sugar…gifted with droopy beards and hats falling in our eyes.
We practice this step every year… because we aren’t trying to become perfect…. but we want hearts to give
So our practice will not reach perfect in this lifetime… but it will imprint and become permanent.
We may trip and fall… but we will get up and give again.
The falling doesn’t teach us the gift isn’t worth giving… it just teaches us to get up and take another step.
Brothers and sisters rush to her side…not rush away…No one falls alone.
They fix her hat and set her in the right direction.
They are a team…and they give together.
It’s their normal.

And for a peak of last year’s St.Nic day…check out this post.…. Funny story from last year which the kids reminded me about: We were in the car and preparing the red headed kid to deliver his bag…and we gave him the advice of “Now go up to the door and when they come to the door hand them the bag and yell,’ Happy St. Nic day’ and run for your life.” To which he handed the bag to the person who came to the door (like he was told) and then he yelled, “Happy St. Nic…run for your life!!!!!!!” Not quiet, what we meant. Anyways he did a great job this year and was much less scary.
Moments following your arrival I managed to windex those nasty finger smudges from the front door! Sheesh, where’s the maid at a time like this?! You are all the best looking delivery “men” I have ever had at the front door. It was way more than Amazon could have delivered. Thanks!
oh puhlease… you are allowed to have happy kids who rush the door and put finger prints everywhere…especially at 8:30 in the morning. Clearly the maid was cleaning the bedrooms at that moment 😉

I love that this is yours kid’s normal. With your husband away working hard, you managed to make all that glory AND deliver with 7 children! You’re family is such an example of honor, love, and all-around wonderfullness (word?) ! Love having you (all) in our lives.
Oh my goodness… thank you for building me up! It has been a long week. Thank you for your words and your friendship.
🙂
