For the New One.

It’s the first present for the new baby.  It’s pretty much the cutest thing I ever saw…and it’s a rabbit!   I came down this morning and there it sat on my desk.  My oldest made it for the baby.   No pomp or circumstance…  he didn’t want any extra attention for it… just a simple token of his love for this new one.

I knew he had been working on a “secret project”…. but we love our privacy in this house…so I didn’t pry.  I never dreamed it would be as absolutely adorable as it is!  My oldest ,nearly a teenager, and he handmade this little rabbit for his newest sibling.   The time he must have had to devote to this!  It’s not like he has sewn much more than a button on a shirt, before this undertaking.  He knows I love handmade..and he knows I love rabbits.  Can’t you just wait to see this little gift sitting by the sleeping new baby?

I am so touched that Cal would take the time to think of the new baby.  I took a few things down off of my shelf…so this little handmade can be proudly displayed, until the day when it cozies up to the warm smell of a newborn.
