Enough of Him to go around…. a salvation story.
~listening to this song this morning as I remember last night’s big event!~

I heard her tell her dad she wished , “for more Jesus’… lots and lots of them. Enough for everybody” Her mermaid doll was splashing her baby sister in their nighttime bath and I was going about collecting pajamas.
Enough. There is that word that has been my theme for the week. I have heard it at every turn. It’s “E week” and He is teaching me as I am teaching her… we love a theme.
She had said “enough Jesus'” as in plural Jesus’… because even in her 3 years fresh-from-heaven- mind she knows one Jesus is enough for anyone… but the concept of omnipresent was a little beyond her. In her lifetime she has prayed for people to be healed and seen it happen and them to have it confirmed by a doctor (an easy request in her mind)… she has prayed for flat toast or to find a lost toothbrush (nearly impossible requests to her)…. she has prayed for a baby sister and cheered to hear it happen. She has swirled around singing when her brothers woke up to Him in their room. She knows Jesus is enough for one person…. she would never dispute it.
He is enough.
When do we loose it?
When do we loose that He is enough, just Him? When do we switch from understanding there is one of Him and that is enough but wishing there were many of Him … to knowing there is one of Him and wishing he could be more?
The truth of it is He is always enough… just Him… just one of Him.
The only thing that needs to be more…
is our understanding of Him
is our wanting to know Him more
is our ability to receive His Love
is our desire
is our ability to give away more of us to make room for Him.
Standing in the closet collecting the pajamas I hear her Dad call out, “Go tell your momma what you did.” I turned around to her soppy three year old self standing there wrapped in a bright white towel… little wet footprints behind her,
“Momma I asked Jesus into my heart !”
and all of her brothers and sisters poured out of their beds to congratulate her…
and we called her friends and they cheered…
and all of heaven sang her name.
He is enough…
I’m so happy for you and her. 3 John 1:4 says “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” And I agree with you….when and why do we lose it?
good one thanks!!
