it’s a unique moment in a life
a soul inside a soul
a spirit housing another spirit
a creation within a creation
Immersed in the practice of creating
all things that exist were birthed in Him…. (John 1:2)
and He let’s us birth.
us, daughters of a King…
a heaven and earth meeting , of sorts.
We know the sacrifice of birth
so holy.
something to celebrate.

So we get together and breathe out.
a party just to rest in a cozy room with a long table so no one is left out.
tea cups sipped and laughing endless.
mimosas bubbling and babies passed around.
a room filled with His Creation…. the ones which He lets create like no other.
daughters of a King…
the ones He let’s in on His secret of birth.
an honor.

Beautiful gathering, beautiful words. I love how you described this blessed gift!
Your words are beautiful, T. It really is a great honour we have as women to grow life within us, and share with God in the pain and beauty and sacrifice of birthing life, isn’t it? This looks like a wonderful celebration – I am sure the Mama-to-be felt very blessed by it!
oh she did and I loved honoring her.
So lovely,
T
What a beautiful celebration! Maybe you could share links or tutorials for the decorations and recipes? I love the canning jar snow scenes.
well it was a brunch… and I just wanted to make it so all the women could sit down and nibble even if their plates were empty… you know how we are!
So I had hot chocolate, coffee and iced coffee… there was herbal tea on the table. I wanted a white snow theme…and boy did we get that…people could barely get up the driveway. A friend offered the snow globes and they were the perfect addition…this time of year it is easy to get your hands on fake snow and trees. Along with the nibbling…. there were many tiny plates of gluten free pancakes and waffles…little quiches and creme puffs. many small bowls of blueberries and raspberries and a try of cinnamon mixed nuts…the whole table was sprinkled with hershey kisses (I had seen that at a restaurant) and the metal wrappers sparkle with tea lights on the table…
so it wasn’t so much that I had fancy recipes… as much as I layered and layered and layered so that it felt full and you felt well loved.
It was lovely..if I do say so ,lol.
