Oh I wait all year for this day…
Fastnacht Day
A day where we are to eat only the very best!
… and apparently my people feel like fried dough is the very best!
who can argue that
a whole day to eat donuts… fastnachts (said; “fawstnot”)
Oh and we eat… this man of mine packed up the kids and off they went… in search of some Amish-PA-Dutchy goodness!
I like my fastnachts with very little nutmeg…so they buy them from a few different stands at the farmers market… because some are made with potatoes… and that is fastnacht gold if you ask me…
So excuse me while I enjoy this sugar high.
