Love Come to Life.

May 5, 2014

This past week has been an amazing experience.  I can’t tell you when in my life I have felt so alive and in the right place as I did when I was co-teaching the course on Creativity and Inspiration.

but then again…

there was the time (and every time) when my kids lead worship.

and then there is the time when 50some people flood my house from both coasts all for Sunday Dinner….

and when this guy brought an entire band (10members) to stay here for a few days all the way from the other side of the country….

and when Luke Skaggs (yep that Skaggs) shared his birthday at our Sunday Dinner..that’s him wearing his fetching new blazer…

and then when I turned around to find Molly Skaggs (yes and uh-huh) picking up the house guitar and makin it sing a new song…

and then when I walked into my kitchen to see my husband in the doorway, just having a normal everyday conversation with thē Jonathan Helser…

and my heart soared and shivered  when a few people said, “you HAVE to try her sheep’s milk ice-cream! It is the best ice cream you will ever taste…”

but while I listened to thē Melissa Helser tell me how she has been healed of psoriasis… I had hope in new places of my heart , for my husBen… and sure her music makes and breaks me all the time… and sure I desperately wanted to talk and learn about how I can better lead this ever growing massive community of musicians that congregate here…. and yes I wanted her to like me… but all that fell away when she started talking about her psoriasis and the healing of 70%+ of her body…so all of those other things I always wanted to hear her take on fell away…

and I felt very alive when she said said, “this ice cream is amazing!” and then she called her husband over to try some…and I mean comeon!

Thank you for allowing me to live on the fringe of your life. You have an awesome ministry with, and to these young musicians and a true testimony of serving. Not knowing the Helser’s (sorry…I’m old!), I just listened to “Mount Zion”/Jonathan Helser/Live At Home and “Come Close”/Melissa Helser/Live At Home on YouTube. Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for bringing beauty into my day.

East and West may be the best song on that already amazing album. Thanks for sharing.
