milk and honey

May 23, 2014

Just walked right into it.  A season of literal milk and honey.  I went from whale in a glass to this crazy feeling.  My dream, to clarify , has never been to  just make ice cream.  My dream has always been to enjoy a smorgasbord of revelation…. and to have a few dairy sheep (smirk). But this work is so satisfying.  Even the loss… I get it now.  I don’t even think of it as loss anymore.  It is all part of the flow.  A flow towards milk and honey…. a promised land , of sorts.  A land where I get to see Him in new ways… like a million little plates on a very long table.

(and yes, that is a guitar neck we are using to help harvest the honey…It is a template that Fender Guitar company allowed… because although it is a source of annoyance for my husBen it is a source of pride for me,  that Fender ,big ole Fender company has their lawyers keep an eye on NyGuitars… lol… makes perfect sense to me.)

I’m so inspired by you!! I’m good friends with Lindsey Cates and she has told me so much amazingness about you and your family! This makes me even more excited to keep bees one day. I love it.
