Ready for whatever.

Well by now you have figured out the storm was not to bad here. So strange as it came directly at us. For  most of the  first day it started to pick up speed and all the weather stations warned it was going to get worse by night. Our power was only off for a short time that first day.     We went to bed expecting for things to pick up.But every time I woke up to check on things, I really didn’t hear much of anything. It wasn’t even raining very hard. So finally when I woke up for good… I just saw a lot of muddy feet.

Very much like most things in my life; there is a lot to be learned about bracing for a major storm…even a historical one… and seeing His provision in it all. We are always Listening in this house. Recently I have braced for many storms. I have batten down my hatches and protected myself from danger…only to find out the plan of men wasn’t the same as The Plan. For this I am very thankful for. I see how a forecast can look very grim, for me, and yet I am covered in peace and sleep soundly. Those of you who have read about my childhood, know that I have spent many years bracing against the storms… I never want to go back to that. I love this peace which I have now.
All of this to say we are very prepared to go into the upcoming snow season… or whatever season. So we are thankful to know how ready we are.
